What the card does for a barbershop

A barber's customer visits every few weeks and sticks with the shop they are used to. The card in their phone wallet keeps your shop in mind: every haircut or beard trim is a stamp, and you choose the reward, such as 50% off the 8th visit or a beard trim on you.

On Thursday nights and before Eid the chairs are full and the wait is long. Switch on «Your turn is close»: the cashier gives the customer a number with the stamp, and when their turn is close taps the number on the screen, and the alert appears on the customer's lock screen. The alert starts switched off until you turn it on.

In short

  • A stamp per visitThe cashier scans the customer's code or searches by phone number.
  • «Your turn is close»A lock-screen notification without sound, off until you switch it on.
  • Services and pricesIn Karra Plus: haircut, beard, kids' haircut, with their prices.
  • Know your customersWho is new, who is a regular, and who hasn't been in for over a month.

Step by step

How it works in the shop

  1. 1Set up your card in the Studio: your shop's logo and colours, stamps shaped like clippers or a razor, the number of stamps and the reward.
  2. 2Put the printed join code next to the till or by the waiting chairs.
  3. 3The customer scans the code while they wait, confirms their number, and the card is in their wallet.
  4. 4With every haircut, the cashier stamps from the cashier screen, and gives a number with the stamp if the alert is on.
  5. 5When their turn is close, the cashier taps the number and the customer sees «Your turn is close» wherever they are.

Right for you?

For men's barbershops

  • Walk-in shops where customers wait for their turn.
  • Busy nights and the days before Eid: customers wait in their car or at the café next door instead of in the chairs.
  • A “We miss you” message for those who haven't been in for over a month, and Karra Assistant in Karra Plus tells you which day is quietest so you can plan its offer.
  • A gift stamp for a customer you want to thank, and an offer for this month's birthdays.
  • A Google review request after the haircut, for every customer, with no reward in exchange for the review.

Questions

Questions before you start

Does the customer need to download an app?

No. The card goes into their phone wallet, Apple Wallet or Google Wallet, and joining happens in the browser.

How does the «Your turn is close» alert work?

You switch it on in the dashboard. The cashier gives the customer a number with the stamp, and when their turn is close taps the number, and «Your turn is close» appears on their lock screen, without sound. The tracking page rings if they tapped «Alert me with sound» and kept it open.

Is there appointment booking?

No. Karra has no appointment booking, and it suits shops that serve customers in turn. Karra is for the card, the stamps, the alert and campaigns.

I have several barbers. How do they stamp?

Each one signs in to the cashier screen on the shop's phone or iPad with a 4-digit PIN, and stamps by scanning the customer's code or by phone number.

How much does it cost?

Basic is 79 SAR a month for one branch and includes the card and the alert; Karra Plus is 109 SAR and adds the services and prices list and Karra Assistant. Prices include VAT, with 14 days free and no contracts.

Can I try it before I subscribe?

Yes. Open the demo in one tap with no sign-up: it shows a café, and stamps and the alert work the same way in a barbershop.
